Adding Details to the Life of Jesus

When I first started looking at ancient manuscripts I thought that I would eventually find a few. I was surprised to find an ocean of material about the life of Jesus, though His complete biography is missing from the Bible. The Bible starts with a short story about His birth, jumps to a very small comment about His life at the age of twelve and then jumps to the last three years of His life as if there isn’t any more. The reality is that there are millions of ancient texts that spoke of what He did and where he went in his life. If you merely do one thing in order to understand turn to the last verse in the Gospel of John. John was Jesus’ best friend and knew him like no other. He says that "Many things Jesus did…I suppose the world could not contain all the books that should be written". What John didn’t explain is that the whole world is full of the accounts of the activities of Jesus.
I began the "Hidden Treasure Series" with the simple stories of the childhood of Jesus. They are contained in the Bible before the Bible called the "Only Rule of Our Faith". This small collection largely contained the writings of Jesus’ brothers. These texts were excluded from the Bible, though they were used for two centuries after the death of Jesus. The Bible comes to us as a collection from the third century AD and the Nicene Council.
